My latest series of images comes from The World War II Sicily-Rome American Cemetery and Memorial near Anzio, Italy. Here 7,860 American military who died in Italy are buried. In this image, I have emphasized the shadows casted by the headstones along the grass, remembering each shadow represents a fallen husband, father, brother, son, and friend.
I have had a camera in my hands since high school in the early 1980’s – that’s pre-digital for some of you -- and I am constantly in awe of the world that we live in.
